New lucky draw for all participants
This year, the important Award has a new place at the ITB, the ITB-Cinema will be in Hall 14.2. close to the “Funkturm” and the ICC. Today the organization has received candidates from 13 countries already and more than six other countries have announced their participation. The Award categories are: City, Country, region, Eco-Tourism, Campagnes and this could be as Film, Clip,Print, social media or spot. In the 12 years of the TourismMedia Award „The Golden City Gate“ more than 1.000 Films are showed at the ITB-Cinema. Only eight times the Award “Diamond” was given for the Best of the Best wellknown as the Diamond Award of the Tourism Industry. The “Golden City Gate”Award is a very good Marketingtool for the participants not only during the ITB and at the Pricegiving Ceremony. This will be on Thursday, 6th. of march, at 3 pm on the stage in the ITB Cinema at Hall 14.2.
This year the “Golden City Gate will give out a new price in a lucky draw for all participants. Every candidate has a chance to win the whole ITB Cinema including, the stage and all the technic for a presentation or event during the ITB 2015 for ca-. 30 Minutes.The lucky draw is on the end of the Pricegiving ceremony. The value is € 7.000.
“THE GOLDEN CITY GATE” is an creative and innovative expression of the tourism branch and is organized yearly since 2001 within the scope of the International Tourism exchange of ITB as an international tourism film competition. This year with a new category “Travelagencies”.
Wolfgang Jo Huschert – chairman of “Bundesverband der Film- und AV-Produzenten e.V” is the president of the jury. The international trade information service “Tourism-Insider” is the media partner of the film festival and editor-in-chief Joachim Fischer is the Media Director.
Tourism VIP´s from all over the world are attending the Pricegiving Ceremony every year
A special highlight will be the presentation of 3-D-movies in the ITB-Cinema. The festival only filed with competitive films in the sole ITB-Cinema. The contributions present oneself to an international professional audience from different states and countries, the national and international tourism association and institutions and also the numerous fair visitor.
The last edition at ITB 2013 has seen 121 candidates from 53 countries
The assessment of the filed films ensued by an international specialized jury according to the following criterions: visual performance, acoustic overall impression, emotional effect, value of information, conception and creativity. The first-placed contributions will distinguished with gold, silver and bronze by the Golden City Gate. From the front-runner contributions the VIP jury choose the film of the year. This is awarded with the “Diamond Award”.
The professional jury of 20 VIP in Düsseldorf and 20 VVIP in Berlin exists of specialists of the areas of tourism, economy, politic, diplomatic, movie, public relations and public institutions. The careful choice of the jurors guarantees a professional and wide-diversified spectrum of experience for the expert and objective assessment.
