Two resorts and one residence of the hotel brand Radisson Blu and one Park Inn by Radisson Hotel will open in the next three years
Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the most dynamic and largest hotel groups worldwide, announces four new hotels in Saudi Arabia: The Radisson Blu Resort Jizan (160 rooms) will open in Q1 2015, followed by the Radisson Blu Resort Al Khobar Aziziya (186 rooms) in Q4 2015. The Radisson Blu Hotel & Residence Unaizah (180 units) will welcome the first guests in Q2 2016. Already at the beginning of the year 2014 the Park Inn by Radisson Riyadh Olaya (168 rooms) will open.
The existing hotel in Riyadh will undergo a renovation programme. Carlson Rezidor’s portfolio in Saudi Arabia now comprises 16 hotels in operation and under development.

The Radisson Blu Resort Al Khobar Aziziya will be one of the first quality beach resorts on the Al Khobar coast of Half Moon Bay in the Al Aziziya district, located in the south of the city. Dammam International Airport is 50 kilometers away from the site; and the King Fahd Causeway that links to Bahrain is less than 10 kilometers away. Besides 186 modern rooms with Radisson Blu signature services such as free high speed internet access, the hotel will feature a 330m² all-day dining restaurant, a 200m² lobby cafe, more than 270m² of meeting and event facilities, as well as 350m² of wellness facilities with gym, sauna and outdoor pool.
The upper upscale Radisson Blu Resort Jizan is Carlson Rezidor’s first project in Jizan, one of Saudi Arabia’s major shipping ports on the Red Sea. The full service hotel will be located on the Jizan Waterfront, off the Makkah and Corniche Roads Roundabout. It will be only 3km away from the city centre and 5km from Jizan’s regional airport. The area surrounding the hotel and the entire city are witnessing major developments, including an oil refinery development spear-headed by Aramco, Saudi Arabia’s national oil and gas company. The Radisson Blu Resort Jizan will include 150 contemporary rooms with signature services such as free high speed internet access, a 250m² all-day dining restaurant, a 100m² lobby cafe, almost 3,000m² of meeting and event facilities including two ballrooms, as well as wellness facilities with an outdoor pool.
The Radisson Blu Hotel & Residence Unaizah is located in the Al Fahd district of Unaizah’s upcoming downtown area. The hotel is already under construction and will be part of a 2 million square meters master development spearheaded by Al Fahd Group. The site lies on the King Abdullah Road, which is to become the city’s and the province’s main artery. The hotel will be in close proximity to various commercial developments and to the city’s largest planned shopping mall. The University of Unaizah and the new government offices will also be located across from the site.
Guests of the Radisson Blu Hotel & Residence will be accommodated in 180 units – including 90 hotel rooms, ten suites, 80 serviced apartments, and potentially up to ten villas. Facilities will comprise 1,800m² of meeting/banquet space including a ballroom, an all-day dining restaurant with international buffet, a pool café, a specialty restaurant, gym & spa.
Unaizah is located in Saudi Arabia’s Al Qassim region that has witnessed the largest compounded growth rate in visitation over the past four years in the Kingdom due to a growing corporate and predominantly leisure demand. Unaizah has been historically an important stopping point for Muslim pilgrims coming from GCC countries on their way to Makkah and Madinah, and today is home to many influential and wealthy families in the kingdom.
The mid-market Park Inn by Radisson Riyadh Olaya is located in the heart of the Kingdom’s capital, between the main King Fahed and Olaya Roads; 35km south of King Khaled International Airport, Saudi Arabia’s largest air facility. The hotel is within close proximity to major offices, ministries and landmarks, as well as the high-end retail and commercial district of Olaya. As well as 164 comfortable rooms (including 50 suites), the property offers 340m² of bar and restaurant facilities, 700m² of meeting space, as well as a 300m² wellness and gym area.
