TRAVEL TURKEY İZMİR WILL KEEP ITS FINGER ON THE PULSE OF TOURISM BETWEEN 5th – 8th DECEMBER. Partner Country: Egypt, Partner City: Çanakkale. Being one of the most important meetings of Turkey in thef tourism industry, TRAVEL TURKEY İZMİR- Trade Fair & Conference for Tourism will be held for the 7th time between the dates of December 05th-08th 2013.
TRAVEL TURKEY İZMİR, which has been held successfully for 6 years, is cooperatively organized by İzmir Fuarcılık Hizmetleri Kültür ve Sanat İşleri Tic. A.Ş. (İZFAŞ) Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TURSAB) and Hannover Fairs Turkey Fuarcılık A.Ş. under the patronage of Republic of Turkey Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and with the support of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, SME Development Organization (KOSGEB) and İzmir Chamber of Commerce (IZTO).
TRAVEL TURKEY İZMİR, the successful organization of Turkish tourism sector continues its growth each year, as ‘Egypt’ participating as the ‘Partner Country’ and and “Çanakkale” will be involved as the ‘Partner City’.
Egypt, the Partner Country of the İzmir Tourism and Trade Fair Conference will promote itself at the trade fair with numerous aspects from its potential for tourism to its historical background, geographical richness and cultural diversity. In the chronological order; Greece, TRNC, Sarajevo Canton, Croatia / Zagreb, Netherlands and Montenegro have been the partner countries so far at the Tourism Trade Fair and Conference which has designated partner countries since 2007.
The Partner City activity, which was launched with Şanlıurfa will continue with Çanakkale this year. Partner City Çanakkale will have the chance to promote and exhibit itself with its historical richness, local culture, cuisine, handicrafts, traditions
and all the other aspects by means of a participation of 950 sqm in Hall 1. Trabzon, Denizli, Ordu – Osmaniye and Kütahya, Kastamonu were the Partner Cities at Tourism Trade Fair and Conference in the previous years.
The trade fair and the conference at which the agreements regarding 2014 season will be established will be the active discussion point in all of the halls of İzmir International Fair Center. TRAVEL TURKEY İZMİR will continue to make positive contributions to the tourism industry with the increase in its participant-visitor numbers and new business connections, as it did so last year.
Targeting to show the touristic richnesses, different destinations of Turkey as well as different countries and regions to domestic and foreign tourism investors, agencies, buyers and end consumers planning their vacations, the trade fair will host numerous participants from different destinations also in its 7th year.
TRAVEL TURKEY İZMİR will bring the tourism sector together so as to do promotion to and develop new collaborations with the domestic as well as foreign participants, and improve the existing relationships.
The conference stage of the event will bring the sector representatives together in İzmir. The conference, which will address the innovations and the improvements in Turkish tourism sector, is organized by Union of Aegean Hotels and Touristic Establishments (ETIK).
The national participants of the fair trade which is covered in scope of Republic of Turkey Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization (KOSGEB) receive support from KOSGEB up to 50 sqm and İzmir Chamber of Commerce (IZTO) offers a financial support of 9 sqm to its members participating in the trade fair.
The trade fair can be visited between 10.00 – 18.30 with an entrance fee of 3 TL/ 1€
25,915 people arrived in İzmir from 47 countries as well as 54 cities of Turkey for the Tourism Trade Fair and Conference, which lasted for 4 days last year, to plan and evaluate the future potential for tourism. 778 companies participated in the trade fair at which Montenegro was the Partner Country and Kastamonu was the Partner City.
