Greece, heading the list of countries interested in EMITT, is preparing to show off at 2014 EMITT Exhibition for the first time with all Greek regions under one roof this year. Greek tourism operators will offer extensive promotional activities at the fair for all who wish to spend dream-like holidays in Greece.
Greece will break new grounds by gathering all its regions under one roof and prepare for a comprehensive introduction at East Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Exhibition EMITT, to be held for the 18th time at TÜYAP Fairgrounds from January 30 to February 2, 2014. Consistent with the annual increase in the number of tourists who visit Greece from Turkey, our neighbor tourism agencies aim to attract even a larger number of Turkish tourists to their country through extravagant introduction schemes this year.
A gigantic stand for Greece
Mr. Panayiotis Miritzis, Chairman of the event organizers’ Aegean Communication S.A., said the following regarding the idea of uniting Greece under one roof for the fair. “Stands of various Greek institutions and agencies, basically scattered throughout TÜYAP Exhibition Center, has been Greece’s method of participation at EMITT to date. We, as Aegean Communication S.A., chose to gather all Greek tourism agencies participating under one roof for this reason and reserved a collective 660-meter square space this year. As Aegean Communication S.A., we have most successfully organized and supervised all client stands at all EMITT and other Turkish exhibitions in recent years. We were further chosen as ‘the Most Visited Stand’ at EMITT 2012, as well as ‘The Best Stand’ at EMITT 2013.”
Mr. Miritzis, indicating that many tourism agencies from Thessaloniki, Northern and Southern Aegean, the Peloponnese, Southern Macedonia in addition to those throughout all regions of Greece will be at the Greek stand, also reassures that all booths will be represented by top notch professionals in both the tourism as well as the housing industries. EMITT Exhibition: EMITT Exhibition was first held in year 1997 at Istanbul TÜYAP Tepebaşı Fair Center with the name Voyager – International Tourism and Holiday Exhibition. The Exhibition which was held with the name Voyager in 1998 grew very fast in its third year and it moved to TÜYAP Beylikdüzü in 1999, where it was held in 4 halls and a total area of 7000 m2. Since 1999, the exhibition is being held under the name of EMITT – Eastern Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Exhibition.
