As of 11th November 2013, Norbert Draskovits will take over as Senior Vice President Sales Scheduled Services, with responsibility for sales of airberlin’s scheduled services. He is taking over the role from Otto Gergye, who is moving within the company to the post of Senior Vice President Distribution and will in future be in overall control of airberlin’s distribution channels.
Otto Gergye is replacing Mats Jacobsson, who, after six years in various management positions with airberlin, has decided to leave the company and return to his native Sweden.
Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, CEO airberlin, said: “I am delighted that, with Norbert Draskovits and Otto Gergye, we have two experienced and highly qualified managers occupying these two key sales posts who will ensure that the upward trend in this field continues.”
Norbert Draskovits has many years of experience in the airline and tourism industries. In the last four years, he has built up BCD Travel into the third largest provider of business travel services in Austria.
