Travel agents across the globe have a new and improved resource to help boost their knowledge of Orlando. Orlando Travel Academy is an online tool that provides education on all aspects of Orlando, with the goal of helping agents expand their knowledge of the destination and enhance their ability to help their customer base. For the first time ever, it is available in Spanish, Portuguese, German and French, in addition to global English.
“Travel agents play an important role in selling Orlando and helping travelers get the most fun, memories and value out of their visit,” said Danielle Courtenay, chief marketing officer of Visit Orlando. “The updated Orlando Travel Academy uses full audio commentary to bring the destination to life in a dynamic way and provides new and helpful information even for those that may have completed a previous version of the program.”
Orlando Travel Academy (orlandotravelacademy.com) features seven chapters designed to increase travel agents’ knowledge of Orlando and help them provide value to their clients. Upon completion of the program, Orlando Travel Academy graduates receive the designation of “Orlando Travel Expert.” Graduates also qualify for a variety of exclusive benefits, including:
• Listing in “Travel Agent Lookup” widget featured on Visit Orlando’s consumer website (VisitOrlando.com)
• Agent-only exclusive deals offered in the Visit Orlando Travel Agent Passport
Agents who have completed the previous version of the program are encouraged to experience the new Orlando Travel Academy, as it incorporates brand new content with a more simplistic approach, which will help enhance their Orlando knowledge to increase sales.
