The roadshow in the North American cities during which the Czech Republic together with Hungary were presented as the ideal congress destinations ended with a great success. The unique event, which took place in Dallas, Washington D.C., Toronto and Chicago was organized by Prague Convention Bureau together with CzechTourism, its Foreign Representation in USA and Czech Convention Bureau.
Networking evenings in each city were attended by about 30 representatives of local associations, corporate companies, event organizers and media who had an opportunity to meet with the representatives of both destinations as well as Prague and Hungarian hotels and DMCs; Prague was represented by K+K Hotel and the company Maxin Prague, and in Chicago by Maxin Prague, InterContinental Hotel, Senator Meetings & Incentives and CPI Hotels. The evening inWashington,D.C.was also attended by the Deputy Chief ofMissionof theCzechRepublicinUSA, inChicagoby the Consul General of theCzechRepublicinChicagoand theTorontoevent by the Consul General of theCzechRepublicinToronto.
Each event included a quiz for the attendees that consisted of questions relating to various places of interest in theCzechRepublicandHungary. It was followed by a joint presentation of both destinations representing the best what they can offer in terms of convention and a dinner with a raffle offering winners very attractive prizes, the first prize being educational trip toPragueandBudapestthat will be held in 2014.
Prague Convention Bureau concluded the roadshow by its attendance at the international tradeshow AIBTM held in Chicago from June 11 – 13. Prague Information Service was the official partner of the event.
