Extensive programme of entertainment and culture after the fair – More than 2,300 long distance buses from all over Germany
Germany’s capital is always worth a visit, especially during the International Green Week Berlin 2013 (18 – 27 January). Moreover, those who decide to experience the German capital in accordance with the hit by Kaiserbase “Berlin, du bist so wunderbar!” (Berlin, you’re so wonderful) will have plenty of opportunities after the fair has closed each day, in the form of an outstanding cultural and entertainment programme.
For the period covered by the world’s largest consumer show for agriculture, food and horticulture its travel partners, Deutsche Bahn and Lufthansa, are offering some great travel deals.
Green Week ticket from Deutsche Bahn
A special second-class return ticket is available online from Deutsche Bahn for visitors to the Green Week, offering second- class travel from any rail station in Germany at a cost of just 99 euros (www.bahn.de/p/view/home/aktion/gw). First-class tickets are also available at a cost of 159 euros. These special Green Week tickets are obtainable now and can be used between 16 January (earliest outward date) and 29 January (latest return date). Bookings must be made three days in advance. Reservations can be made by telephone on +49 (0)1805 – 31 11 53 (14 cents per minute on German landlines). Please quote the “Green Week” reference when booking, and make sure that your credit card is readily available.
Reductions on Lufthansa flights
Lufthansa, the airline partner of the Green Week, is offering a number of flights at special rates for those attending this event. To make a reservation go to www.lufthansa.com/event-buchung and enter the event code DEZQWR in the box marked “Zugang zur Event Buchung/Access to event reservation”. This will take you directly to the online booking portal. The reduced fare will be displayed automatically. If any cheaper special rates are available these will also be shown. Important: Ensure that these drop-down menus are permanently enabled, otherwise the window to the reservation portal will not open. These special fares are available from 11 January (earliest outward date) until 5 February (latest return date).

Traditional worship service at Green Week
For believers the traditional communion service at Green Week is held on 20 January at 10 a. m., including with representatives of the German Farmers’ Union and ecumenical guests. Provost Friederike von Kirchbach and pastor Martin Germer warmly invite to the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in Berlin.

Three long days at the Green Week
The International Green Week Berlin 2013 has prepared a full programme of events between 18 and 27 January as it awaits some 400,000 visitors from the trade and industry and the general public. Opening times and the pricing structure for the admission tickets are intended to cater for those who have planned a visit in advance as well as those who come at short notice.

The International Green Week 2013 will be open daily from 18 to 27 January between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. The fair will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the two Long Saturdays and the Long Friday (19, 25 and 26 Jan.).
