South East Europe as a meetings and incentive travel destination remains blurry on the European map. This part of Europe is still relatively undiscovered, despite the fact that it consists of 10 countries and lies in the very heart of the continent.
»People know the name of the countries, but it is more the question of the demonstration of experience. They recognize that it is new, it has potential but it is the fear of unknown.
So it is very important for us to keep pounding it and saying there is a great advantage in holding meetings in South East Europe,« enthused Linda Pereira, Senior Partner and CEO of the L&I Communications Group.
To achieve this aim of raising visibility of South East Europe on the global meetings industry map, the Conventa show
South East Europe offers a strong meetings and events infrastructure, ranging from large congress centres, through to convention hotels located in the historic cities or Mediterranean coastal regions of Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkey and Italy. There is also a selection of small hotels with meeting facilities right across the region, as well as special venues to cater for almost any requirement.
Attending Conventa and getting to know the region of South East Europe is surely a good investment in future business. As Patrick M Delaney, Director at Ovation Global DMC stressed: “As a professional meeting planner I’m being continuously asked for something different, value-centered. I firmly believe that South East Europe can provide answers to many of these needs. Go there and check it out. I know you will be more than satisfied!”
