The Park Hyatt Chennai opened today, marking the 30th hotel in the Park Hyatt collection and the first Park Hyatt to open in Chennai, also known as the gateway to Southern India.
Catering to business and leisure travelers, Park Hyatt Chennai features 201 luxury guestrooms and suites. The hotel embraces the serenity of the surrounding Guindy National Park with flowing landscapes and relaxing interiors, complemented by a lily pond in the inner courtyard of the hotel. An impressive series of art installations adorn the walls of the hotel, which have been curated around the concept of Indian textiles and heritage.
When it comes to dining, Park Hyatt Chennai offers an array of tastes and experiences. The Dining Room offers traditional South Indian and European Bistro fare, all overlooking the lily pond. In 2013, the hotel will also open The Flying Elephant, a unique specialty restaurant that will provide diners with a selection of exotic cuisines.
Park Hyatt Chennai also offers Antahpura Spa, which features legendary therapies from the illustrious lineage of Chettinad using indigenous herbs to create a holistic spa experience for guests. There is also a fully equipped fitness center, as well as more than 8,000 square feet of innovative meeting space.
The hotel is a 15-minute drive from the city’s domestic and international airport and is also close to the new developments of OMR (Old Mahabalipuram Road), Sri Perumbudur and the Guindy Industrial Estate.
