“Our ambition in all these years has been to invite to Conventa hosted buyers with a real buying power and an interest in the region of South East Europe,” stressed Miha Kovacic, Director of the Conventa show. “For that reason Conventa launches a new campaign to invite meeting planners for a cup of coffee in January 2013 in Ljubljana.”
Selected meeting planners are to receive Barcaffé coffee sachets with an invitation to explore the
emerging destinations of South East Europe at the Conventa show. “People in South East European countries are big coffee drinkers. Many like to meet their friends or do business while enjoying a cup of coffee with their business partners,” explained Kristina Jurjevec, Conventa Hosted Buyer Manager. “We therefore invite meeting planners to visit Conventa and enjoy their cup of coffee in a business friendly atmosphere.”
The campaign follows the finalization of partnership with the Meetings Show UK and Convene that exploits synergies in attracting high quality hosted buyers. “The coffee campaign presents an add-on to our continuous work with group coordinators and international partners in bringing meeting planners to the Conventa show,” enthused Kovacic.
The work showed results already at the fourth edition of Conventa 2012, when the show accommodated only one third of meeting planners who had applied for the hosted buyer status. The demand in organizing meetings in South East Europe is therefore decidedly growing. Cinzia Paglia of AIM Group, who visited the Conventa 2012 show, summed up: “Nice and warm hospitality. High selection and variety of exhibitors. Fresh style in set up and hospitality.”
