ITE MICE will again be co-located with the long established and Hong Kong’s only international travel expo, ITE for synergy. Together they feature over 30 official pavilions (group participations by tourism authorities) and 600 exhibitors from some 50 countries and regions.

Among the exhibiting destinations, 40% are from Asia, Europe and Americas 35%, Middle East and Africa 15% and island paradises from the Pacific and India Ocean around 10%. In all, over 80% of the exhibitors are from abroad, and around 100 target the MICE market. Again, ITE & MICE will maintain an exceptionally international profile of exhibitors.

The Expo this year is expected to draw in the two trade days around 12,000 visitors with a quarter of them from outside Hong Kong, who include the regional travel trade, MICE and corporate travel ; 524and around 70,000 visitors in the two public days with majroity from Hong Kong who more interest in individual travel (FIT).

At its 26th edition, the annual ITE is among Asia’s earliest established and is also the only travel fair in Hong Kong. ITE & MICE this year will be held from June 14 to 17 this year, and will use 15000 square meters of space in the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Center.

New Destinations and Themes
Newly exhibiting destinations this year with official pavilion come from Azerbaijan and Zagreb from Europe, Kazakhstan, Penang, the Malaysian Healthcare Travel Council and Laos in Asia, and Angola in Africa ; and with only individual exhibitors from Slovenia, Ukraine, Argentina and New Caledonia.

Some repeating official pavilions had high double digits expansion this year, and they include Japan, Moscow, Brazil, Tunisia and Seychelles. There is also a growing trend of enterprises exhibiting independently despite the presence of respective official pavilions.

While largely arranged by regions, ITE & MICE also highlights trendy themes like Cruise, Wellness & Medical Tourism, and new themes of Honeymooning & Overseas Wedding, and Travel Photography, and Study Tour. There will again be a Hong Kong Travel Agent Zone for onsite booking of tours and travel products.

Trade and Corporate Visitors Welcome to Pre-register Online
On June 14 and 15, the Expo open only to travel trade, MICE industry and those responsible for corporate travel, who are welcomed to pre-register online at www.itehk.com for possible free admission. Pre-registered trade visitors also enjoy priority in attending seminars, many of which are free to visitors. Alternatively, ticket can be purchased at the entrance.
