TKS, organiser of the 26th International Travel Expo Hong Kong (ITE) and the concurrent event of the 7th MICE Travel Expo (ITE MICE), today announced that Cathay Pacific Airways and Dragonair will be the Official Sponsoring Airlines for this year’s events. ITE and ITE MICE will run from 14 – 17 June, occupying five halls in level 1 of the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.
ITE & ITE MICE 2O11 drew nearly 12000 visitors in its two trade days with 27% from mainland China and abroad; 70,000 visitors in the public days with over 70% prefer travelling in FIT; and around 650 exhibitors from 56 countries and regions with over 80% of them from outside Hong Kong. The Travel Expo in Hong Kong has thus a highly international profile of exhibitors and regional profile of trade visitors. It is supported by China National Tourism Administration, Hong Kong Tourism Board, Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong and Macau Government Tourist Office, trade associations of travel agents and event industries from Hong Kong and in the region.
As the home carriers of Hong Kong, Cathay Pacific and Dragonair have been long-term sponsors of ITE & ITE MICE. As Official Sponsoring Airlines, Cathay Pacific and Dragonair will once again have a joint stand at the Travel Expo, divided into separate halves for each airline. Cathay Pacific will feature its new Premium Economy Class experience at the 2012 Travel Expo, with visitors able to try the new Premium Economy Class seat and its enhanced entertainment system. The booth will also feature a display of Dragonair’s new destinations, while other attractions include Getaway Surprise! airfares for trade visitors and air ticket lucky draw prizes in the days open to the public.
