The travel expo features from around 50 countries and regions some 600 exhibitors, many of which are in the 30 plus official pavilions by respective tourism boards and over 80% from abroad. Among the exhibiting destinations, 40% are from Asia, Europe and Americas 35%, Middle East and Africa 15% and island paradises from the Pacific and India Ocean around 10%.

At its 26th edition, the annual ITE is among Asia’s earliest established and is also the only travel fair in Hong Kong. ITE & MICE this year will be held from June 14 to 17 this year, and will use 15000 square meters of space in the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Center.

New Themes and Pavilions
New official pavilions this year, so far, come from Azerbaijan and Zagreb from Europe, Kakzarstan in Asia, and Angola in Africa, and new destinations with only individual exhibitors are from Slovenia, Ukraine, Argentina and New Caledonia.

Repeating official pavilions with high double digits expansion this year include China, Japan, Moscow, Brazil and Tunisia. There is also a growing trend of enterprises exhibiting independently despite the presence of respective official pavilions.

While largely arranged by regions, ITE also highlights trendy themes like Cruise, Wellness & Medical Tourism, and new themes of Honeymooning & Overseas Wedding, and Travel Photography, and a Hong Kong Travel Agent Zone for onsite booking of tours and travel products.

Trade & MICE Seminars
ITE and the co-located ITE MICE are noted for their practical and timely seminars. Held in collaboration with regional trade associations are the “Asian Outbound Seminar” with speakers from Singapore, India and Malaysia. During the trade days, there are travel trade seminars on trendy themes such as Cruise, Wellness, Honeymooning and Overseas Wedding etc. The second trade day (15 Jun) will again be designated as MICE / Corporate Travel Day with a series of related seminars. Throughout the trade days are also press conferences, receptions, business meetings and product briefings by the exhibitors. Trade and Corporate Visitors Welcome to Pre-register Online
On June 14 and 15, the Expo open only to travel trade, MICE industry and those responsible for corporate travel, who are welcomed to pre-register online at www.itehk.com for possible free admission. Pre-registered trade visitors also enjoy priority in attending seminars, many of which are free to visitors. Alternatively, ticket can be purchased at the entrance.
