According to the local news of Bangkok Post, the Thai Cabinet on Tuesday approved in principle a tourism development plan for Phangnga and other Andaman provinces, as proposed by the Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office.
The 32-storey 345-room Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit hotel is currently in its final stages of development with its opening scheduled for April 2012.
