Dusit International Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Catherine McNabb, announced the following promotions in the corporate office, with immediate effect.
Simon Burgess is Assistant Vice President – Sales. In his new role, Simon will oversee the company’s existing and upcoming Regional Sales Offices (RSO) worldwide, as well as day-to-day operations, such as audits and sales reviews, of all properties under the Dusit brands. Simon’s involvement with Dusit began in 2001 when he was the Regional Sales Director at the UK office. In 2005, he moved to Thailand to take up the post of Executive Assistant Manager at the Dusit Thani Hua Hin, before joining the corporate office in 2008 as Global Sales Director.
“We are expanding our sales office network to provide a stronger base to generate further business for our hotels,” Simon said. “As new properties are launched, it is vital we have a presence in emerging markets as well as being able to leverage support from existing relationships in established markets.”
Bobby Saw is Assistant Vice President – Revenue. Bobby joined Dusit in 2007 as Corporate Director of Revenue Management. In his new capacity, Bobby is responsible for overseeing all property audits, and driving total hotel revenue including Food & Beverage and other revenue streams and revenue strategies.
Bobby believes that since the market is getting more competitive and volatile, it is his responsibility to instill and cultivate a stronger revenue culture in all Dusit hotels and resorts. “It is our commitment to our stakeholders that revenue opportunities are always maximized, and this, in turn, gives the added advantage to the fact that Dusit is already renowned for its Thai heritage and legendary service excellence,” he said.
