The Cologne-based company HMS International Hotel GmbH has now become part of Maritim Hotels
Since its establishment in 2003, HMS has been responsible for expanding Maritim Hotels abroad.
At the end of September, Maritim Hotels purchased the shares held by the two directors of HMS, Wolfgang Hedderich and Manfred Schaerdinger, who resigned simultaneously. Since then, the new Executive Director is Dr. Monika Gommolla, owner and chairlady of the supervisory board of Maritim Hotels, who had already been assisting HMS in its expansion drive. From the very beginning, the joint venture between HMS International GmbH and Maritim made provision for the acquisition of shares by Maritim Hotels. HMS is currently operating eleven Maritim hotels abroad, each of which has concluded a licensing agreement with Maritim Hotels. Apart from expansion in China, which has already started, other European locations around the Mediterranean and in Asia are to be explored.
