The order book for the airberlin PLC bond issued on Wednesday was closed today and the subscription period was ended, because the order volume exceeded the issuing total of EUR 100 million. The bond with a coupon of 11.5 percent will be issued at 100% of its nominal value and will be redeemed at 100% of its nominal value on 1st November 2014, subject to prior early redemption.
airberlin CFO Ulf Hüttmeyer stated: “I am very pleased with the result. In this manner, we have pro-actively provided the requirements for refinancing existing liabilities despite difficult framework conditions in the market.”
