Bangkok’s leading new five-star hotel, Siam Kempinski Hotel, is further strengthening its competitive lead in the capital’s market with the appointment of Simon Zaglmann as the new Hotel Manager, reporting to General Manager Holger Schroth.
Since its opening in July 2010, the Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok has established itself as one of the top international hotels in the city.
Zaglmann joined Kempinski in 2002 at the Bristol Kempinski in Berlin, Germany, and two years later was part of the launch team at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, UAE, where he was Director of Restaurants and was also in charge of banqueting. He was, most recently, Hotel Manager at Kempinski Jakarta, and has also been stationed in Munich, Budapest and at the Kempinski Soma Bay on Egypt’s Red Sea coast. He is a keen skier and pianist.
Siam Kempinski Hotel, the city-resort adjacent to Sa Pathum Palace, is part of Europe’s oldest luxury hotel group, Kempinski Hotels. Every one of the hotel’s 303 rooms and suites overlooks the surrounding gardens and pools, and 21 rooms have direct access to the pool. It also houses 98 serviced residences for long-stay guests.
Thai artistic heritage is a key theme of the Siam Kempinski Hotel. The property will display 4,000 pieces of art, including over 200 original paintings and sculptures by Thai artists commissioned by the property.
The Kempinski name is proudly borne by a growing collection of distinguished properties around the world. Europe’s oldest luxury hotel group Kempinski has built its reputation on the belief that exclusivity and individuality are key elements of true luxury. Each year, an increasing number of guests come to appreciate these qualities, as Kempinski adds new hotels and resorts in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. While this growth reflects the strength and success of the Kempinski brand, the collection will remain a limited one, where exclusivity can be nurtured and individuality can flourish.
Kempinski The Spa “For All Seasons”
In the herbal scented hush on the seventh floor of Bangkok’s newest and most distinctive luxury hotel, Kempinski The Spa is secured in its own tranquil atmosphere from the urgency of the life of the streets below. It’s a world where Nature’s all embracing presence can be apprehended by all the senses….
Kempinski The Spa recognizes the truth that we need to be reconciled to the rhythm of the seasons and restored to the harmony of Nature. In its meticulously comprehensive menu of nature based treatments derived from ancient wisdom and informed research into mind, body and spiritual healing, the Spa’s outstanding signature treatments include the Siam Royal Experience, a crown-to-toe enrichment drawing from a wealth of Thai therapeutic traditions; and the Journey Through the Senses.
The journey begins with your own personal assessment, in discussion with your therapist, on your specific needs and requirements. From this, the therapist can determine your seasonal alignment and composes the specific palette of natural ingredients and therapeutic techniques that will restore your inner harmony, reconnect you to the natural rhythm of the seasons and rekindle your zest for life.
Spring means new life and the return to life from the depth of Winter. New life is sensitive and must be protected and cherished, while the remnants of Winter must be firmly banished. At Kempinski The Spa, the accent of your Spring facial will be to refresh and renew; body massages will radiate from a core of stimulation and soothing, scrubs will create a glow of new energy and wraps will nourish and exhilarate.
