Sumatra’s Bandar Lampung will host this year’s Indonesia’s annual travel mart Tourism Indonesia Mart & Expo (TIME) or Pasar Wisata Indonesia, from October 12 to 14, to promote Indonesian tourism and its world class destinations. This Indonesian premier tourism event will be held at Novotel Lampung and will present all new tourism products, including hotels, resorts, travel spot, theme parks, as well as new tourism developments.

During the signing of MoU between Indonesian Tourism Society (Masyarakat Pariwisata Indonesia) and Culture & Tourism Office of Lampung Province having taken place at the Ministry of Culture & Tourism Office in Jakarta on 4 July, Chairwoman and Steering Committee of TIME 2011, Mrs. Meity Robot, said that TIME would be the place for buyers of tourism services to meet with sellers.

“Buyers comprise of international tour operators, while sellers include hotels, airlines and tourism destination stakeholders,” said Mrs. Meity Robot.

“The preparation of the event is going well and it is expected that the event will boost the development of Indonesia’s tourism industry. The delegations from 30 countries would take part at the event,” Mrs. Meity Robot concluded.

TIME this year enters its 17th years of conduct. The event is organized by the Indonesian Tourism Society (Masyarakat Pariwisata Indonesia) and supported by all the tourism components in Indonesia. It is the only international travel mart in Indonesia with a business to business concept. The event is a meeting place for those who sell tourism products and services in Indonesia (seller) to the international market (buyer).
