econd nonstop connection to Macedonia started
With immediate effect airberlin is commencing a service between Düsseldorf and Skopje in partnership with Kosova Airlines. Every Saturday a Boeing 737-700 with 144 seats will fly to the capital of Macedonia and will then return to the Rhine city on Sunday morning. This is the second new nonstop flight to Skopje which airberlin has had on offer since the start of the summer timetable: airberlin also flies the route between Zurich and Skopje twice per week.

The fleet comprises of 170 aircraft with an average age of five years, making it one of the most modern fleets in Europe. In 2010, the airline carried 33.6 million passengers. airberlin has signed a declaration to join the global airline alliance oneworld® and is expected to become a full member at the start of 2012. airberlin has been offering flights under codeshare agreements with American Airlines and Finnair since November 2010.
