Statement about the Situation from Werner Gessner, General Manager, Carols Beau Rivage – Marsa Matrouh , El-Obayed Bay , Marsa Matrouh- Egypt
Greetings from Marsa Matrouh,
we have finally internet and the phones are working again, so we can communicate again with the world – now we have to overcome the crisis in Cairo !Here in Marsa Matrouh the situation is under control – and calm keeping in mind we are in a sensitive military zone, however we have 40 soldiers on side for protection and to avoid looting and for the safety of the employees ….
We are open but for the moment we don’t have any visitors or safari guests going or coming from the Siwa Oasis or nearby Libya travelers…
So far all is calm besides what the photos say in Cairo….
We are getting ready for the season and preparing, refreshing the hotel, planting 400 additional new palm tree in the hotel ground, opening a new bar direct on the beach, adding a new conference room with a capacity of maximum of 80 persons to the hotel facilities.
I am positive that all will turn better in the near future for the betterment of the people in Egypt and with new challenges are ahead of us and we shall overcome this obstacles too…
Egypt has long history and seen many crisis in the past and always come out on top – Eternal Egypt is blessed by the god’s !
