‘Thailand Travel Mart Plus Amazing Gateway to the Greater Mekong Subregion’ (TTM+ GMS) is the largest B2B event promoting unique tourist attractions and experiences offered by Thailand and the surrounding countries of the Greater Mekong Sub-region or GMS.
Thailand Travel Mart Plus 2010 is scheduled to be held on 2-4 June, at the Exhibition Centre Hall, IMPACT, Muang Thong Thani, focusing on trade and business talks among operators and participants. As an added bonus, from 5 June onwards, TTM+ buyers and media can also enjoy a full range of post tours, showcasing Thailand’s world-renowned natural beauty and rich cultural heritage.
The event, which was first organised in 2001, has the uttermost objective to promote the tourism and service business in Thailand and its Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) counterparts. Small and medium entrepreneurs (SMEs) have also been supported on the international stage with their products on offer. The major markets include Europe, South East Asia, Eastern Asia, the United States, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as emerging ones; such as, the CIS countries, Eastern Europe, Middle East, South America, and South Africa.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is pleased to invite applicants from all over the world to participate in TTM+ 2010. During this period, over 400 booths are available for travel operators and service businesses across Thailand and the GMS countries.
The 10 business categories arranged for the event are: Hotels and Resorts, Tour Operators and Travel Agents, Eco and Adventure, Wellness and Spa, Airlines, Entertainment/Theme Parks/Culture Products, Golf Courses, Associations, Other Travel Services and the Greater Mekong Subregion/National Tourism Organizations (NTOs).
In 2009, the Thailand Travel Mart Plus attracted 360 delegate buyers from 51 countries to meet with 405 travel organizations and related service operators from Thailand and the GMS. This is an increase of 18 participating travel organizations and related service operators compared to 2008. TTM+ 2009 welcomed delegates from new markets including Argentina (1), Brazil (3), Estonia (1), Mexico (3), Moldova (1), Mozambique (1), Romania (1), South Africa (12) and Turkey (1). In addition, a total of 116 members of the media attended TTM+ 2009.
