It is a well-known fact that Hong Kong people live to eat. With this in mind, Hong Kong Airlines and Hong Kong Express spare no effort at creating new and interesting in-flight meals while working hard at maintaining service standards. Recently the two airlines invited renowned Hong Kong chef Mr. Wong Wing Chee, the owner of Dragon King Restaurant group, to create special dishes for their in-flight menus.
Mr. Wong is an award-winning chef who is well known in Hong Kong having published several cookbooks and hosted cooking programs on television. He has a reputation for creating unique dishes using different ingredients such as combining crocodile meat imported from Singapore with Alaska crab and cooking Japanese puffer fish in a Chinese style. Flexibility and adaptability are two core values of Hong Kong Airlines and Hong Kong Express which are reflected perfectly in Mr Wong’s approach to cooking.
Dragon King Restaurant has prepared different appetizers and main courses for economy and business class passengers, including Singaporean-style sauce with barbecue pork and beef fillet with lingzhi mushroom fried rice. In response to passenger feedback, Hong Kong Airlines and Hong Kong Express have also added “healthy choices” in the menu. From now on, in-flight meals could be one of the enjoyable things to look forward on your journey.
