The December debut of CityCenter – an extraordinary urban destination brought to life by eight world-renowned architects – refines and redefines Las Vegas. Located between Bellagio and Monte Carlo and conceived to bring a true center to the Las Vegas Strip, CityCenter is much more than a collection of resorts and residences; it’s a community – a welcoming environment for people to gather, relax and enjoy.
CityCenter will unveil ARIA Resort & Casino, an unprecedented combination of striking architecture, sustainable design, high-end service and spectacular amenities. Designed by the world-renowned firm Pelli Clarke Pelli, ARIA’s architectural expression will reveal itself at every turn, from its two breathtaking curvilinear steel and glass towers to the clean use of natural elements including lush foliage, wood and stone. Soaring open spaces, ranging from ARIA’s three-story lobby to its guestrooms, will fill with natural light and evoke breadth and freedom.
In addition to ARIA, CityCenter also features luxurious non-gaming hotels including Vdara Hotel & Spa and Las Vegas’ first Mandarin Oriental; Veer Towers, the development’s only strictly residential buildings; Crystals, a 500,000-square-foot retail and entertainment district; and an unparalleled Fine Art Collection. Vdara, Crystals and Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas opened December 1, 3, and 4, respectively. Veer Towers will begin accepting its first residents in January. Additionally, The Harmon, a luxury 400-room hotel, is slated to open in late 2010.

Hot, Hot, Hot… Slots!
Excalibur’s new “Hot Slots” program is heating up the casino floor and taking the guesswork out of finding slot machines which have recently paid out the most. Of more than 1,500 slot machines throughout the gaming floor, 40 are topped with large signs that read: “Certified Top 40 Hot Slots.” Hot Slots are identified in every denomination – 1 cent through $1 – based on their prior week’s payout. Once a guest spots a Hot Slot, it’s up to them to decide if a spin is worth the gamble.
