This prestigious Championship is in honour of the Sutera Harbour Marina, Golf & Country Club’s Patron, His Excellency the Tuan Yang Terutama Yang Di-Pertua Negeri Sabah, Tun Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Ahmadshah bin Abdullah.
Participation in the Patron’s Cup Golf Championship is open to all Sutera Harbour Marina, Golf & Country Club golfing members and their guests with a handicap index of 23.2 and below for men and 35.5 and below for ladies. The tournament will be in the four-ball-better-ball and 18-hole stroke play format.

To commemorate this prestigious event, a grand gala dinner will be held on the evening of the same day to present the prizes to the deserving winners. The auspicious event will be at the Grand Ballroom of The Magellan Sutera at 7:00pm. The grand gala dinner will feature popular songstress and actress, Erra Fazira, and emceeing the event is the nation’s best known celebrity host, Dato Mahadzir Lokman—the first Malaysian to receive the Ordre des Palmes Academiques (Order of Academic Palms) from the French government.
The Guests of Honour for the event will be Tuan Yang Terutama Yang Di-Pertua Negeri Sabah, Tun Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Ahmadshah bin Abdullah and Toh Puan Datuk Seri Panglima Hajah Dayang Masuyah binti Awang Japar.
The golf registration fees for the Championship are RM420.00 (USD 105) nett per golfer for members and RM460.00 (USD 115) nett per golfer for non-members, inclusive of one ticket to the gala dinner. The closing date for entries is 26th October 2009. Tickets for the gala dinner only are available at RM220.00 (USD 55) nett per person for members and RM240.00 (USD 60) nett per person for non-members.
