Ferry trip from Rostock to Ventspils with subsequent sailing trip from Klaipeda to Rostock during Hanse Sail 2009. 6 or 7-day ferry trip combined with sailing trip on Rostock-Ventspils-Klaipeda-Rostock route starting from 589 euros / travel dates 07/31-08/06 and 08/01-08/06.

From July 31 to August 6, 2009 and from August 1 to August 6, 2009, sea carrier Scandlines will be offering combined ferry and sailing trips on the Rostock-Ventspils-Klaipeda-Rostock route on the occasion of Hanse Sail 2009. Passengers will begin their journey in Rostock on the Scandline ships “Fellow“ and “Urd” and head out to Ventspils. In Klaipeda, the Norwegian sailing ship “Sörlandet” will then set sail for the great cruise back to Hanse Sail in Rostock. On board, the passengers will take part in maneuvers as part of the crew, take control of the rudder and climb the shrouds. The rate for a 6-day journey is 589 euros per person. The 7-day trip may be booked for 659 euros per person. Students are granted a 40 euro rebate on each of the trips.

Passengers headed for Ventspils (LV) aboard the Scandlines ships “Urd” and “Fellow” will travel with accommodation in a 2 or 4-bed cabin and full board. Upon arrival, they will be brought to Klapeida (LT) by bus. Those who book a 7-day trip will have one day at their disposal for individual excursions in the Lithuanian seaport. August 3 will be the start of the sailing trip to Rostock aboard the “Sörlandet”. For three days, travelers will have the opportunity to actively take part in operations on board or to simply enjoy a relaxed sea trip. There will be full board on the ship, with accommodation taking place below deck in berths or hammocks befitting the occasion.
