Decision makers and organizers of exhibition and incentive trips used their stay in Shanghai for the trade fair IT&CM China as an opportunity to visit Radisson Hotel Pudong Century Park.
The trade fair, which takes place in the Chinese metropolis every April, is now in its third year. The event is organized by TTG Asia and trade organization MPI (Meeting Planner International), and buyers of business and incentive trips, as well as journalists from all over the world are flown in to Shanghai free of cost each year.
Together with on-line trade magazine “Tourism-Insider”, Austrian hotel manager Gerhard R. Fasching invited a group of European guests for a visit of his hotel and a subsequent dinner.
The experts and journalists were amazed at the hotel, which also features a live contemporary museum, and whose interior is artistically designed from the lobby and the restaurants down to each individual room. Gerhard R. Fasching introduced his team and the hotel in his usual charming manner and gave the guests a tour of the hotel himself. The visitors were impressed not only by the hotel, but also the offers surrounding it. The shopping center “Thamb”, for example, is but a step out the front door, and its countless shops and restaurants invite for a moment of relaxation after exhausting days of visits and work in and around Shanghai. Anything from Greek and Indian cuisine to various Chinese flavors can be found here.
Radisson Hotel Pudong Century Park is ideally located near the new exhibition grounds, which presently serve as venue for the Shanghai Motorshow. A little further lies the Shanghai Pudong Racetrack, where Sebastian Vettel from Germany won the Formula 1 China Grand Prix last Sunday. Museums, the financial district, markets and the maglev train are not far, either. One will still be able to discover the “old China”, too, and the helpful hotel staff is glad to assist with information.
“An ideal hotel for my group, close to the fair grounds, to the attractions and, most of all, not far from the World Expo next year. My participants will be able to eat in one of the three hotel restaurants or dine to their hearts’ content in one of the many restaurants around the hotel – without the need for a taxi or a guide, even”, Reinhard Schmöhl, director of the Association of Home Textiles stated enthusiastically.
The participants were also impressed with the view from the Executive Club Lounge in the 20th floor of the building, where they were presented with a vista of Shanghai’s sea of lights and the many high rises.
