Grand City Hotels & Resorts (GCHR) took over the „Mark Hotel Am Ratsholz“ in Leipzig on December 1, 2008. The 3-star hotel and apartment property will be transferred to the standard range of the Berlin-based hotel management’s private brand as soon as possible, where it will trade under the name of „Grand City Standard Hotel Leipzig Süd“. All current personnel will be carried over to Grand City.
The hotel is situated conveniently in the south west of Leipizig, has good traffic connections to the city and notedly distinguishes itself by the high quality and the size of its rooms, amongst other things. The 113 apartments feature high-grade furnishing and a completely equipped small kitchen. Large bath rooms with bath tub or shower, cable TV, telephone supporting direct outward dialing, sauna, underground garage, internet terminal by the reception and a rich breakfast buffet are all included in service. In terms of self-catering, the passage right next to the building allows for ideal shopping conditions with numerous shops and service offers. A modern conference room with plenty of daylight offers space for up to 25 people. The hotel is designed for recreational guests, as well as business travelers and long-term guests.
With the transfer of Mark Hotel in Leipzig into the range of „Grand City“ hotels, the GCHR’s private brand now already comprises six properties in three market categories since its institution in September of 2008.
