The aviation industry in Turkey is booming again and on 29 October 2018 Istanbul Atatürk Airport will close and İstanbul New Airport will open to the world. It will be the new hub and home of Turkish Airlines and will eventually offer flights to more than 300 destinations with an annual passenger capacity of up to 200 million. To commemorate this landmark development, FTE will take its European show to Istanbul, rebrand it as Future Travel Experience EMEA, and co-locate it with The New Airport Show Istanbul.
These two outstanding events will collectively provide the perfect platform to bring together the world’s airlines, airports, vendors, startups, OEMs, government agencies, destination partners and various other key travel industry stakeholders to learn, network and collaborate, and see the newest hub airport in the world first-hand.

Taking place at the downtown Istanbul Congress Center (ICC), Turkey’s most prestigious convention venue and the largest in Istanbul, the show is expected to attract 2,000+ international visitors and 150+ exhibitors. Following the huge success of our FTE Europe and FTE Ancillary shows in Dublin in recent years, FTE EMEA 2019 will focus on how technology, design, collaboration and innovation can enhance end-to-end customer experiences and revenue opportunities at every step of the journey.

Over the last two years in Dublin we have established FTE Ancillary as the world’s definitive digital airline retailing show, and in 2019 this event will thrive within the FTE EMEA show. Inspired by the latest digital developments, airlines are now thinking way beyond just selling flights and they are exploring a variety of inventive ways in which they can become fully-fledged retailers. New partnerships between carriers, airports, technology companies, service providers, brands and destination agents provide fresh opportunities to add value to the passenger experience while creating new revenue streams. In Istanbul we will have a dedicated “Ancillary” conference, as well as a whole section of our exhibition floor dedicated to suppliers offering the latest products and services in this space.

What is the New Airport Show Istanbul?
The New Airport Show Istanbul is an event that celebrates and commemorates the opening of the game-changing Istanbul New Airport. This show will tell the industry story behind the most important new hub between New York and Shanghai through a spectacular exhibition and two very high calibre conferences detailing how and why this hub has been built, and defining its centrally strategic role in global aviation.

Future Travel Experience EMEA 2019 is an independent global forum that brings together airlines, airports, government agencies, vendors, start-ups, terminal designers, architects, ground handlers, destination partners and various other travel industry stakeholders to define tomorrow’s end-to-end passenger experience.
