Even for a company whose activities are often described in superlatives, The Venetian® Macao-Resort-Hotel has outdone themselves with Ice World, a spectacular wonderland of sculptured, coloured ice that opens to the public from May 14 to September 18, 2011. Following months of preparation and exchanges with the world renowned Heilongjiang Provincial Ice and Snow Art Development Co. Ltd., The Venetian Macao has transformed 1,700sq.m. CotaiExpo™ Hall F into literally the coolest place in town, with 49 ice sculpture artisans working at a constant -15C to hew some 9,000 blocks of ice into nine themed zones ranging from a 7m-high, 3-slide paradise to Ice Age fantasy world to the iconic landmarks of China, Macau, India, Europe and America.
Corporate packages are available for groups to utilize this unique venue for private events. Companies will have access to Ice World and the Ice Bar as well as an ice themed cocktail reception in the function space adjacent to the exhibit. Corporate packages include a complimentary ice-carved cocktail luge with your company logo during the event.
The 110sq.m Macau Heritage zone features a glassy Ruins of St. Paul’s and the Guia Lighthouse, while the jaw-dropping 210sq.m. Wonders of the World section brings to frozen life such icons as London’s Big Ben clock tower, Rome’s Coliseum, New York’s Statue of Liberty, India’s Taj Mahal and Paris’ Eiffel Tower. Some 118sq.m. is devoted to scenes from the classic Chinese tale Journey to the West, and 196sq.m. to Beijing’s imposing Temple of Heaven. In between visits to these landmarks, guests can traverse the magical 250sq.m. Winter Forest, and marvel at a towering Ice Age Mastadon set in its own 98sq.m. of frozen tundra.
“Ice World provides a unique, entertaining venue for your company’s next function or incentive. There is no place cooler to reward your team this summer.” said Mr. Wolfram Diener, VP of Conventions and Exhibitions of The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel.
Ice World will open its doors to the public from 12:00 noon to 8:00pm on weekdays and from 12:00 noon to 10:00pm on weekends and public holidays from May 14 to September 18, 2011.
