While on average 10-20% of delegates at a conference or tradeshow are active on Twitter, almost 60% of ICCA Congress delegates were active on Twitter before, during or after the 53rd ICCA Congress, taking place 1-5 November 2014 in Antalya, Turkey. 70% of the delegates using Twitter said it helped them to increase the value of their ICCA Congress experience, and almost 75% claimed that Twitter helped them to increase their interaction with other members.

Air India played host to the first ever Star Alliance Chief Executive Board Meeting (CEB) held in India. This follows the national carrier’s joining the world’s longest serving and most comprehensive airline alliance in July this year.Speaking to both local and foreign media in New Delhi , Rohit Nandan, CMD Air India, thanked all CEOs for travelling to India and for a productive two-day meeting. He emphasised that for Air India membership in Star Alliance is a key pillar of the airline’s turnaround strategy, along with the fleet renewal, network optimisation and an initiative to improve quality of service.
