The Annual Shareholders’ Meeting of Accor was held today in Paris. The meeting was chaired by Philippe Citerne, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and holders of 73.37% of the shares were present or represented by proxy. All of the resolutions were adopted.

Accor’s Board of Directors met today at the request of its Chairman, Denis Hennequin, with all Directors in attendance.
During this meeting, all the Directors came to the joint conclusion regarding the Group’s situation: that the strategy adopted is the right one and that it will remain unchanged. However, given current economic conditions and the rapid transformation of its competitive environment, Accor must accelerate the implementation of this strategy in order to reinforce its positions.
Mr James Mabey is the recipient of the most prestigious honour for young tourism professionals in Asia Pacific – the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Face of the Future 2013 award. Mr Mabey is the Senior Director of Development for Marco Polo Hotels, based in Hong Kong.
Mr Mabey is set to receive the honour at an official award ceremony taking place April 25 in Bangkok on the eve of the PATA Annual Summit in Bangkok. Turkish national flag-carrier Turkish Airlines (THY) signed on Wednesday a gigantic deal for up to 117 planes with European manufacturer Airbus, finalising the largest order in Turkish civil aviation history.
“We are inking today the biggest deal ever clinched by a Turkish airline,” THY chairman Hamdi Topcu said during a ceremony with Airbus in Istanbul.
