Tainan and Kaohsiung Enter the ICCA Rankings:
In a report on global conference rankings in 2011 by the International Congress & Conference Association (ICCA), Tainan, a city in southern Taiwan, has entered the rankings for the first time. In the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions, Tainan is ranked 51st and Kaohsiung 23rd.
The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) announced that PATA Travel Mart 2013 (PTM2013) and PATA Board Meeting will be hosted by the City of Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China in September 2013, at its PATA’s Executive Board Meeting on July 28, at the Hotel ICON, in Kowloon, Hong Kong.

Master of Arts degree in Sustainable Tourism Management at the CBS
As the first of the German economics universities, the Cologne Business School (CBS) offers the English-language Master of Arts degree course in Sustainable Tourism Management. In four semesters, the students are occupied intensely with shaping future-orientated tourism – therefore qualifying themselves for an international growing work market.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand has carried out a broad-based consumer research study in five key European markets in order to better understand how they perceive Thailand and what “buttons” need to be pressed in order to maintain visitor flows.

3 strategies planned to make Thailand exhibition hub in GMS
The Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization) or TCEB announced strong performance for the first nine month of the fiscal year 2011-2012. Focus in the final quarter will be on the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) with hope to make Thailand the region’s hub for exhibition and trade show business.
