Today Tourism-Insider has asked people in the Tourism Industry which so far are not infected by the water for a short answer about the situation in Bangkok. We would not publish news about the crisis only we will also let you know what is happend besides the flood. We have asked four questions.
Most important is that so far no tourist or business traveller is infected or has large problems with the flood when they are traveling through Thailand or stay in the resorts.
When the streets and houses are dry again – nobody can and will say this today.
Thailand’s meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions business is still operating actively in Phuket, Pattaya, Chiang Mai and other destinations around Thailand which are popular with international business travellers, despite the floods affecting parts of Bangkok and surrounding provinces in the country’s central region.

Hilton Hotels & Resorts, the flagship brand of Hilton Worldwide, has been ranked the number one international hotel brand in India in the Indian Hotel Business Guest Survey. The annual survey is conducted by BDRC Continental, a United Kingdom based market research agency. In the survey that tracks the brand performance of 102 hotel brands in India, Hilton Hotels & Resorts has been rated ahead of all international hotel brands.
Outrigger to Manage Idyllic Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort and Spa, Thailand
Outrigger Hotels and Resorts announced that it will manage the idyllic Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort and Spa as its third hotel property in Thailand. Outrigger assumed full sales and marketing responsibility for the resort on November 3, 2011, and will have complete operational control by November 1, 2012. The resort will continue to operate under its current name, Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort and Spa, until November 1, 2012, at which time it will be rebranded as “Outrigger Phi Phi Island Resort and Spa”.
The founder of Austrian airline NIKI Luftfahrt GmbH, Andreas Nikolaus (Niki) Lauda, has been appointed to the Board of Air Berlin PLC as Non-Executive Director.
Dr. Hans-Joachim Körber, Chairman of airberlin’s Board, commented: “Over the past years Niki Lauda has built up NIKI Luftfahrt GmbH into a successful and profitable business.
