Stefan Magiera (36) will take up his appointment as Area Manager Eastern Europe on 1st January 2012 to run airberlin’s commercial operations in that region. In this newly created position, the qualified travel agent and graduate in business administration will be responsible for the overall sales and commercial activities in the region, which covers Russia & CIS, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia.

3rd quarter: Air Berlin PLC increases revenue to EUR 1.375 billion; Capacity slightly reduced, yield and capacity utilization improved; With EUR 200 million, “Shape & Size” program is on the right track
In the third quarter of 2011, Air Berlin PLC was able to increase the yield (revenue per passenger) from EUR 110.94 to EUR 116.61 (excluding aviation tax), i.e. an increase of 5.1 percent over the corresponding period of the previous year.

Hong Kong incurred US$17.5 billion in 2010 on international tourism expenditure, up 12% over 2009, and ranked 15th in the World and 4th in Asia after China (mainland) at US$54.9 billion, Japan at US$27.9 billion and South Korea at US$17.7 billion, according to UNWTO.
