Dusit Thani Sanya will be the flagship resort in the world’s largest tourism market

Dusit International, one of Asia’s leading international hotel chains, based in Bangkok, reaches another major milestone with the announcement of its first Dusit property in China – Dusit Thani Sanya. The resort is located at Ziangshui Bay, a new exclusive enclave on the island. Opening in December 2010, Dusit Thani Sanya is located on Hainan Island which is often referred to as the “Hawaii of the East”

Announcing the appointment of two new top executives – Chairman of the Board (Mr. Anusak Inthraphuvasak) and President (Mr. Akapol Sorasuchart) – TCEB shared its new organizational vision and its 7-year strategic plan to build competitiveness through the “Thai Team” initiative, a collaborative public-private partnership. The effort is expected to generate practical and long-term benefits and to increase confidence.

Around 80 Tourism Ministers meeting at the UNWTO Ministers’ Summit (10 November at World Travel Market, London) called for global policies that are supportive of the travel and tourism industry. Ministers recalled that tourism is one of the world’s top job creators and can be a key driver of recovery and the transformation towards the Green Economy.
