Tailored for the world’s most populous country, the IT&CM China trade show is a spin-off of IT&CM Asia, the region’s premier meetings and incentive travel show. Until February 26, Luis López will be performing his rarely shown acrobatic performance of the art of the boleadoras. Luis López, born in Argentina and a permanent member of the Cirque du Soleil since 1985, was not only responsible for the choice of artists, but trained them himself and developed his own choreographies. Before returning home, he will be showing his unique program at Chamäleon for seven weeks.

Starting from January 23, 2009, holiday complex operator Sunparks will offer two percent added provision on all new bookings to travel agencies. Travel agencies may also promise a Food & Fun voucher worth 12.50 Euros to guests booking one of the the interesting last minute offers with them. Travel agents will receive tailwind for sales of Sunparks by a three-week long radio promotion starting in early February in the federal states of Nordrhein-Westfalen, Niedersachsen, Hessen and Rheinland-Pfalz. Fliers with portraits of each of the eight complexes, sent to the offices by mail, will be added as an additional help for sales starting February.

A pre-Christmas survey of the Russian MICE sector has revealed cautious optimism for this market.

“The aiGroup are the organizers of the Moscow International MICE Forum on March 17th and as so many of our Participants travel a long way to Moscow we felt that it was our duty to make a survey of the market to establish the prospects for the coming year” Kim Waddoup – organizer of the Moscow International MICE Forum.

The Popkomm, which used to take place on the Berlin fair grounds, has found a new venue in central Berlin with the former Dresdener Bahnhof by the rail triangle. From September 16 to 18, the Popkomm exhibition and convention will take place in the halls of „STATION-Berlin“ near Potsdamer Platz. Participants of Popkomm can initiate business, sign contracts and discuss responses to the challenges for the industry on an area of around 9,000 square meters. Good music can be discovered in the nearby clubs during the Popkomm festival.
