The competitive element
This international competition to let you discover the films that everyone was talking about during the festival, but also a European competition to honour emerging talents and a national competition that showcases our best Belgian stars!

Aside from the competition
Claudia Cardinale, who will be coming to the festival to inaugurate the retrospective in her name and meet her fans, will be honoured.
Terry Gilliam will be accompanied by Sergi Lopez and Joana Ribeiro to present The Man Who Killed Don Quixote (an already cult film that we have been waiting for for 17 years) which will be the festival’s curtain-raiser.

A major piece of news is the visit of Gerard Depardieu, who will be accompanying Les Valseuses as part of the “cinéma subversive” retrospective, and will also be honoured by the City of Brussels and the festival for his immense career in cinema.
Another famous face gracing the festival will be Randal Kleiser, director of timeless classic Grease, who will be presenting the remastered version of his mythical film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.

Not to mention our Friends & Family viewings, along with open-air viewings with a view of the city, where you can watch and rewatch The Big Lebowsky, Kill Bill, Back to the Future, Me, myself & I and other classics to your heart’s content.
