AirPod comes to revolutionize the airport experience
The more time we spend waiting in airports, the urge to get out is more – a truth universally accepted. The reason being airports are not made for travelers to “spend time in them” but to somehow ensure that the traveler is comfortable while in transit. Considering that most times travelers have a transit time of over an hour or sometimes long hours, something needs to be done to make the waiting experience better.
Wouldn’t it be great to spend your time in the airport as if you were lying on your living room couch?
Mihael Meolic is a Slovenian business man who travels a lot due to his job. Two years ago, he called his friend Grega Mrgole on the phone from an airport, tired and exhausted. He complained that the chairs at the airport were not comfortable and couldn’t make calls to his clients with this entire crowd around him. “I wish there was some kind of private place where I could lay down, get my work done, relax and wait for the next flight”, he said. That simple conversation lead to the birth of the AirPod.

Meet the AirPod Sleeping Pod centres
AirPod is a private capsule-like unit designed to be installed in public locations like airports, hotels, train & bus stations and shopping centres. This works as a solution for people looking to take a nap, get some work done, or just relax in private, without having to leave the public setting they are in.

The AirPod features an ergonomically designed seat that converts into a bed, free high-speed WiFi, air conditioning & HEPA filtering, power sockets (USB/electricity), luggage and personal belongings storage and information about flight status, among many other things. The project was recently presented in Belgrade, Serbia at the Crypto conference.

Pioneers in financing the company
The AirPod uses blockchain technology to ensure ease in flow and complete transparency. AirPod has established its own cryptocurrency called APOD. The project’s utility tokens will soon begin circulating between the AirPod and its customers — effectively creating one internal economy. Purchasing an APOD or APOD token will make an individual an eligible to profit sharing created by AirPod unit. This gives APOD token holders an incredible opportunity for earning stable passive crypto-income. One year after the project is launched, or after the 400th AirPod has been installed, the Sponsorship phase will begin when token holders are eligible to exchange their APOD tokens for their right to share in the profits which are generated from the particular AirPod Unit for which the tokens were purchased. APOD tokens can be purchased from the website at $0.1 for a token.

Every single participant in the ICO holding APOD tokens will be able to become a sponsor of a particular AirPod unit. He would be allowed to earn up to 80% of the profits generated by that unit on a month-over-month basis. APOD will be influenced by the AirPod Business performance and not by Crypto Market. In simple words, it’s like owning a small real estate at the airport providing passive income.
The APOD token can also be used to make payments for the use of the Airpods. APOD tokens that are purchased from the website will go to the user’s wallet through which he can make the payment at the Airpod’s payment processor. FIAT currency (Credit/ Debit cards) will also be accepted as payment at the unit. However, travelers using APODs can avail a discount.

Grega Mrgole, CEO, thinks that “AirPod’s vision is to improve travel experiences and give the possibility to earn stable passive income for your safer financial future.”

Get ready for a nap
Travel industry is growing fast. Worldwide, there are 667 million passengers every year. Transit and transfer passengers represent 10% of that majority. Among them 2% travelers are facing delayed or canceled flights. There are more than 52.000 airports all over the world and more than 700 connect to international destinations.
A study by Skyscanner reported that 36% of respondents wanted to see sleeping pods at airports. Additionally, a survey conducted by sleepingairport.net, revealed that over 90% of passengers would pay for a sleeping pod at an affordable price.

AirPod is the solution to the travelers’ need.
The project will be privately funded until it is ready for crowdsale (ICO -Initial coin offering). Currently in its last phase of development, blueprints for beta prototype are underway. All planned features will be included in a beta prototype which will be used in commercial trial in Autumn 2018 at EU Airports, thanks to a global distributer who provides access to a global network of airports.
