The 4.3 million members in the “topbonus” frequent flyer programme continue to be able to collect miles on flights with Etihad Airways and with topbonus partners on the ground. The miles collected will be credited to their miles account again. Redeeming miles is also possible again in the new “topbonus pop-up shop”, starting immediately.
“We are very happy to announce that the airline Etihad Airways is re-establishing the full miles collection programme,” said Anton Lill, CEO of topbonus Ltd. “With 42 flights per week starting from Germany and 14 flights per week from Switzerland, the airline is an important partner for us.” Etihad is currently flying from Frankfurt/Main, Dusseldorf, Munich, Geneva and Zurich via Abu Dhabi to more than 50 global destinations.

At the same time, miles can also be collected again at a large number of partners on the ground: those who rent a car at Sixt, Europcar, Avis or Hertz, for instance, book a hotel room at HRS, or make purchases at Shoop, will benefit again from the mileage credits as usual. In addition, miles will be credited again for bookings via the topbonus hotel booking platform as well as the car-rental platform at the topbonus website.

“The fact that the partners are fully re-entering the programme is an important vote of confidence,” emphasised the preliminary insolvency administrator Christian Otto of hww, who continues full operations of the company. “We are confident that additional partners will follow.” The complete list of active topbonus miles partners is available at www.topbonus.de and is continuously updated.

New shop
topbonus has also opened its new online “topbonus pop-up shop” today. This is where topbonus members can swap their miles for vouchers from topbonus partners as well as selected merchandise. In the new online reward shop, topbonus members can redeem their miles, starting from 10,000 miles, for vouchers of SIXT, Secret Escapes and HelloFresh. The topbonus members can chose between the following voucher values: EUR 20 for 10,000 miles, EUR 50 for 25,000 miles and in the near future EUR 100 for 50,000 miles. The network of voucher- partners will be further expanded on a weekly basis.

In addition to the vouchers, topbonus members can also redeem their miles for a selection of attractive products again. Following the opening of the shop, the range of products includes cutlery by WMF and bags by LIEBESKIND. When redeeming miles for merchandise, members must redeem at least 10,000 miles plus a cash contribution. The range of merchandise will be further expanded.

To redeem their award miles, topbonus members simply go to the shop website at shop.topbonus.de, enter their topbonus number and current password to log on. They can then select their reward and complete the order process. Orders can only be placed online. Redeeming topbonus miles via the “topbonus pop-up shop” is currently available worldwide, except for the US. Product rewards can only be redeemed by members placing the order in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and with delivery addresses in these countries. The website is available in German and English.
