Tourism players targeting at China’s growing outbound tourism market can look forward to three international tourism exhibitions in China this year. Mr Edward Liu (left), Group Managing Director of Conference & Exhibition Management Services (CEMS) Pte Ltd (Singapore) and CEMS (Beijing) Conference & Exhibition Co., Ltd, launched three international tourism exhibitions, aimed to capture China’s outbound tourism industry, during an appreciation reception at Hilton Hotel, Beijing, China.
The Appreciation Reception, supported by the organisers and co-organisers of the exhibitions, Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development, Shaanxi Provincial Tourism Administration and Sichuan Provincial Tourism Association, was attended by more than 100 guests, including 72 representatives from various embassies and national tourism organisations (NTOs). 6 government officials, as well as representatives from the media also attended the Appreciation Reception. The Appreciation Reception began with an interactive dance segment, specially choreographed to demonstrate the developments of CEMS’ tourism exhibitions.

In his address following the dance, Mr Liu shared the company’s plans to improve the interaction and networking opportunities between exhibitors and trade visitors during the exhibitions, including dedicating the first two days of the exhibitions to trade visitors, Destinations’ Presentation Sessions, Buyer-Seller Meeting Sessions, Seminars and the Hosted Buyer Programme. In addition to the features, Mr Liu also launched the three international tourism exhibitions – Beijing International Tourism Expo (BITE), China Xi’an Silk Road International Tourism Expo (CXSRITE) and Chengdu International Tourism Expo (CITE).

The 13th Beijing International Tourism Expo 2016 will be held from May 20 to 22, 2016. The China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) and United Nation World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) launched the inaugural World Tourism Development Conference 2016 in May and have invited the Beijing International Tourism Expo 2016 to be part of it. CEMS is proud that the thirteenth edition of the exhibition is part of such a prestigious conference.
Beijing International Tourism Expo 2016 is expected to attract 1, 000 exhibitors from 81 countries and 50, 000 trade and public visitors.

Originally planned to be held from Apr. 22 to 24, 2016, the third China Xi’an Silk Road International Tourism Expo 2016 has been moved back to August 2016, with the dates to be finalised, at the request of the Shaanxi government.
China Xi’an Silk Road International Tourism Expo is projected to attract 500 exhibitors from 30 countries and 54, 000 trade and public visitors

The fourth edition of Chengdu International Tourism Expo will be held from Dec. 1 to 3, 2016. About 300 exhibitors from 30 countries and 13, 000 trade and public visitors are expected for Chengdu International Tourism Expo 2016.

The Appreciation Reception ended with a lucky draw. Representatives of national tourism organisations and tour agencies agreed that the Appreciation Reception provided an ideal platform for industry players to share their insights and plans for 2016 with their counterparts from various countries.
