Each year, a special award is presented to an exceptional young leader in travel and tourism who has exhibited initiative and leadership in the implementation of tourism as well as demonstrated commitment to the sustainable development of the Asia Pacific Travel Industry in line with PATA’s mission. This award is known as the PATA ‘Face of the Future’.

The 14th edition of MITM Euromed, Meetings and Incentive Travel Market, will be held in the Spain’s Costa Brava resort city of Lloret de Mar, June 9th, 10th and 11th, 2010.

MITM will be sponsored by Lloret de Mar-Costa Brava, Olympic Congress Center, Evenia Hotels, and it will take place in the award winning “Olympic Congress Center”.

Clean water charity Just a Drop is appealing to the meetings and events industry to raise funds to supply clean safe water to Haiti following the recent disaster. As emergency relief agencies continue to get the essential supplies through that are needed in the immediate aftermath of the earthquake, Just a Drop is calling for donations to provide ongoing support for villages and communities.

Current booking levels for ITB are outstanding, underlining its role as the world’s leading travel trade show. From 10 to 14 March a total of around 11,000 companies and organisations from over 180 countries and territories will be exhibiting their products and innovations in the 26 halls on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds.
