Daniel Miranda, director of the Congress Palace of Vigo, Galicia, Spain, on an interview giving to CONEXO, predicts a great congress demand at the new facilities of the city of Vigo. On the other hand, the managing company of the palace, Congrevigo, has been integrated to the city’s Convention Bureau, which has presented its plan for 2011. Miranda has been the chosen person to direct the new course of the brand new Vigo’s Congress Palace, foreseen to be ready for January, once the works have finished.

A total of 371 companies and associations from Japan have participated in this year´s Inbound business meetings Japan Travel Mart as suppliers. 31 Tourism Journalists and over 300 buyers from around the world have seen a colorful Mart with new destinations and new trends in Japan.

Mr. Yasuto Kawarabayashi, Director International Tourism Promotion Division of the Japan Tourism Agency under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Tourism, presented the Tourism policy of Japan.

For the month of October, I was surprisingly assigned by the German tour-company “WINDROSE” in Berlin to accompany a small group of guests on a journey through Southeast Asia including a luxurious ride on the Eastern & Oriental Express from Singapore to Bangkok. It quickly came to my mind to read the book of travel writer William Somerset Maugham (1874-1965) called “The Gentleman in the Parlour” to prepare for the journey accordingly.

The 17th edition of MITM Americas, Meetings and Incentive Travel Market, will be held in the city of San Salvador, El Salvador, Central America, November 16th to 18th of 2011. Reed Travel Exhibitions global education strategy includes using content successfully delivered within their worldwide portfolio, as well as introducing new content with a focus on current events that shape the industry.

Scheduled to be the first large-scale Hosed Buyer meetings and events exhibition to take place in the US, AIBTM opens with the AIBTM Education Day, a day solely dedicated to professional education, on 21st June. The AIBTM trade exhibition opens on 22nd June and continues on 23rd June.
